I am currently the Hadoop Developer at Halliwell IT in Ohio, where I design, build, and maintain our Hadoop infrastructure. I work closely with Development to analyze Big Data infrastructure, select and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks, design and code Hadoop applications, and build distributed, reliable, scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data in real-time. I have made a significant impact on performance optimization for data loading and retrieval by playing with HDFS formats/structure to speed up analytics, and creating high-performing shell scripts to automate jobs.
