With 4 years of experience in archival processing within museum settings, I am excited to apply for the opportunity at your organization.

Currently serving as the Archivist at the Essig Museum of Art & Design, my responsibilities include processing archival material, interpreting museum documentation, and establishing best practices for archival material processing, preservation, and access. Prior to this role, I was the Assistant Archivist at the Alma Hennig Museum, where I focused on archival practices in Tudor England monasteries for my thesis.

I possess a strong knowledge of DACS, EAD, XML, Dublin Core, and MARC, and am proficient in using Archivematica, ArchivesSpace, Excel, and FileMaker. Alongside my professional experience, I hold a BA in History and an MA in Archives & Records Management, and am a proud member of the Society of American Archivists.

Being an Archivist is not just a job for me – it is a true passion. I believe in bringing historical events, people, and objects to life and ensuring that future generations have direct access to their community's history.

Due to the global pandemic, all activities at Essig are on hold for at least one year, prompting me to seek a new and fulfilling opportunity in a different museum setting where I can continue to make a positive impact.
