Spearheaded an initiative to setup HSM in sandbox system and tested the various functionalities such as migrations, recalls and backup of the datasets. Managed the ACS changes and created the SMS constructs in the ISMF for the user catalog management using CR+ tool in SMS volumes resulting in the movement of around 70 catalogs across 2 environments implemented only during the maintenance period within the span of 5 months without leading to any issues. Effectively converted the enterprise schedule platform (ESP) datasets to DFSMS after defining the ACS routines and setting up the JCL to move the datasets using the ADRDSSU and FDR products.
